The America-Israel Friendship League, in cooperation with the office of the Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, hosted a reception on Wednesday, June 21st, 2006, commencing an exhibition of works by Israeli artist Ora Abrahami. Held at the Atria Riverdale Gallery, the opening and exhibition were part of the annual "Bronx Week" festival. Broad in its appeal, the exhibits drew those from the art and business circles, as well as seniors, teenagers and children.
The event was part of a new initiative the AIFL is presenting of local and Israeli artists. The exhibition series aims to present new images of Israel, and strengthen the bond between the diverse NY and Israeli communities.
