Media reports framing Israel exclusively through the lens of the Middle East conflict fail to reflect our ally's most rewarding qualities. One seldom hears of Israeli democracy. Little is known of Israel's vibrant culture nourishing many faiths, or the tiny nation's vast contributions to the world in science, technology, medicine, environmental protection and art.

Few Americans are aware of Israeli hospitality, the expansive history and striking beauty of the land. Our similar natures and vital commitments make Americans and Israelis natural friends. Nevertheless, despite our common virtues, friendship between distant peoples can prove difficult in the absence of shared experience.

The Answer
With a special grassroots focus AIFL brings Americans of all creeds and ethnicities to Israel, and Israelis (Jews, Christians and Muslims) to the United States. Participants benefit from an experience that proves time and again to transform lives and perceptions.

Our unique Leadership Delegations and Global Education programs go beyond the headlines, revealing the human face and the heart of Israel and Her people. The AIFL experience fosters personal connections for which no words or political actions alone can substitute. The America-Israel Friendship League has offices in New York City and Tel Aviv, with local chapters in San Francisco, Tucson and Salt Lake City.
