Dear Friend,
I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the America-Israel Friendship League.
We have significantly stepped up our efforts in all the areas of our activities and initiated new and major undertakings.
As part of our growth, we have established a regional development program to further expand our presence across the United States, and to create new AIFL entities that will serve as an important network on which to further promote our mission. In May 2006 we inaugurated our Utah Chapter and groups are being formed in Georgia and Tennessee.
We have increased number of missions to Israel, and important additions to our programs, such as the inclusion of students from the Russian Federation to our Youth Ambassador Student Exchange (YASE), and the development of the "Strength through Diversity" Young Professionals Leadership Program designed to identify and energize emerging community leaders committed to promoting mutual understanding among New York City’s diverse ethnic populations.
The AIFL is the only non-sectarian national organization that promotes the relationship between the people of the U.S. and the people of Israel on a grassroots level. Today, more than ever, the mission of the AIFL is timely and relevant.
Thank you again for visiting our website, and taking time to read this message. As you explore our site and learn more about the programs and initiatives of the American-Israel Friendship League, I welcome you to join with us in our efforts to strengthen the ties between the people of the United States and Israel.
Sincerely,
Kenneth J. Bialkin
